Shoe Drive Fundraiser 2024

Infinitas Foundation Launches Shoe Drive Fundraiser to Raise Money for Program Activities 

(Arlington, VA, 2024) – Infinitas Foundation, (https://infinitasfoundation.org/) is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser in Northern Virginia from February 3, 2024 – March 31, 2024 to raise funds for program activities. Infinitas Foundation will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Those funds will benefit new programs managed by the nonprofit organization based in Virginia. 

The Infinitas Foundation mission is to create, integrate, and support respite and therapeutic programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, along with their families and caregivers.  

Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes by bringing your shoes to: 3100 Clarendon Blvd, Suite 200, Arlington, VA, 22201. The organization will also partner with other nonprofits, faith-based organizations, schools, and companies to collect shoes at their locations to support this fundraising effort. 

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners. Funds2Orgs helps them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited. Proceeds from the sales of the shoes collected in shoe drive fundraisers are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school.  

“We are excited about our shoe drive,” said Neysha M. Alvarez, President of Infinitas Foundation. “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money for our programming activities, and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
