Role 1: Social Media Manager (VOLUNTEER)

Do you want to help spread awareness and acceptance of autism, advocate for neurodiversity, and support families caring for children with developmental disabilities? Do you have experience managing social media accounts? Join our growing volunteer base by supporting social media efforts.

The Infinitas Foundation  is seeking a dedicated, responsible Social Media Manager (Volunteer) to spearhead the development and execution of the organization’s social media strategy. Reporting to the President and Vice President, this role will handle all aspects of social media platforms for the Infinitas Foundation.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to add to our team who can commit to minimum 6 months of service, with very flexible hours (minimum 2 hrs/week). This is an unpaid volunteer/intern position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing & executing an organic social media strategy on the existing social platforms of the Infinitas Foundation, with focus on optimizing the following KPIs:
    • Community engagement within social channels (i.e. marketing within existing Facebook Groups).
    • Increasing tagged mentions of Infinitas Foundation on all platforms.
    • Increasing visits to the organization’s website.
  • Continually analyzing performance and reporting on KPIs.
  • Maintaining a content calendar, working with the Content & Digital teams of the Infinitas Foundation.

Volunteer Requirements and Commitment Expectations 

  • Can commit 2+ hr/week to volunteer, for minimum 6 months.
  • Short weekly meeting with the nonprofit President and/or Vice President (virtual).
  • Collaboration with other teammates via Slack/email, as needed. 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

We would like the prospective candidate to have some (though not necessarily all) of the following skills:

  • 1+ years of experience in social media marketing (preferably in the nonprofit industry).
  • Social Media Management / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tools: Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, SocialPilot, Hubspot, Zoho Social, Sprout Social, Network for Good, Kindful, DonorPerfect, Charity Engine, NationBuilder, and/or Bloomerang
  • Community Engagement and Visibility: Focus on community engagement and organizational visibility on all social platforms.

Role 2: Website Administrator (VOLUNTEER)

Looking to use your tech skills to help a nonprofit? We are looking for an experienced WordPress website editor. Our site is already up and running, but of course it needs regular maintenance and updates.

The Infinitas Foundation  is seeking a dedicated, responsible Website Administrator –  WordPress (Volunteer) to provide website maintenance and refreshes as needed. Reporting to the President and Vice President, this role will support the maintenance and updates to the official nonprofit website.

We are looking for dedicated individuals to add to our team who can commit to minimum 6 months of service, with very flexible hours (minimum 2 hrs/week). This is an unpaid volunteer/intern position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring that plugins are updated.
  • Updating content on the website as needed. 
  • Making changes to the website’s design as needed.

Volunteer Requirements and Commitment Expectations 

  • Can commit 2+ hr/week to volunteer, for minimum 6 months.
  • Short weekly meeting with the nonprofit President and/or Vice President (virtual).
  • Collaboration with other teammates via Slack/email, as needed. 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

We would like the prospective candidate to have some (though not necessarily all) of the following skills:

  • 1+ years of experience in managing WordPress sites.
  • WordPress Platforms and Page Builders: BuddyBoss, Podia, Mighty Networks, and/or Circle.
  • Theme & Plugins: Theme and plugin installation and plugin development/updates.
  • Web Design and Digital Marketing: UX, UI, Site Architecture, and/or SEO.
  • Programming Languages and Coding: HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, Github, and/or BitBucket.
  • Database Management: SQL and MySQL.

Role 3: Researcher (VOLUNTEER)

Researcher (VOLUNTEER)

Do you want to help spread awareness and acceptance of autism, advocate for neurodiversity, and support families caring for children with developmental disabilities? Do you have experience with completing open source research (especially in the areas of: neurodiversity and neurodivergence, autism, developmental disabilities, special education and the law, health and human services focused on autism, etc.)? Join our growing volunteer base by supporting our research and development (R&D) efforts.

The Infinitas Foundation  is seeking a dedicated, responsible Researcher (Volunteer) to support education efforts and research and development (R&D) initiatives. Reporting to the President and Vice President, this role will provide research support to the  Infinitas Foundation. 

We are looking for dedicated individuals to add to our team who can commit to minimum 6 months of service, with very flexible hours (minimum 10 hrs/week). This is an unpaid volunteer/intern position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Researching current community-based services for children with developmental disabilities locally (in the Northern Virginia area) and nationwide. 
  • Researching therapeutic services for children with developmental disabilities locally (in the Northern Virginia area) and nationwide. 
  • Developing reports and articles based on research findings and recommendations. 
  • Informing other educational outreach efforts published by the nonprofit (e.g., podcast, videos) by providing research findings and recommendations. 
  • Developing analytic tools (e.g., dashboards, databases, interfaces) to highlight research findings and recommendations.

Volunteer Requirements and Commitment Expectations 

  • Can commit 10+ hr/week to volunteer, for minimum 6 months.
  • Short weekly meeting with the nonprofit President and/or Vice President (virtual).
  • Collaboration with other teammates via Slack/email, as needed. 

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with open source research (preferably in the nonprofit industry)
  • Analytic Methodologies and Efforts: Literature Reviews, Sentiment Analysis, and/or Time Series Analysis (e.g., trends, cyclic patterns). 

Analytic Tools: Familiarity with some analytic tools and methodologies such as Tableau, PowerBI, Neo4j, ArangoDB, and/or Amazon DynamoDB.
